How to Kettlebell - Kettlebells Training for Sports

Looking for ways on how to do Kettlebell with maximum lift?

Many people think you can do kettlebell exercises with a dumbbell. However, it is hard to do exercises specific to kettlebells with a dumbbell. It is just not the same.

If you try a kettebell swing with a dumbbell you will find out they are very different. Dumbbells are not bad, they are just different and have a different purpose.

In the Jump Experts Training Manual , Virgil Aponte grilled three of the world's best kettlebell experts. Steve Cotter, Jason C Brown and Brett Jones

Increasing Jump for Basketball - Are You Really Serious?

Are you really serious about your vertical jump training and increasing your jump for basketball? I am assuming so or you wouldn't be on my site.

Here is what Jacob Hiller with the Jump Manual says:

"Correct training to increase your vertical jump is very COUNTER INTUITIVE.

Why?

Vertical jumping is an explosion caused by the intensecontraction of fast twitch muscle fibers. Otherwise vertical jump training is "anaerobic."

Too many athletesare training in a way that trains mostly their "aerobic"endurance.

What is the difference in training?

In College I was told that running cross country would increase my vertical. Boy was that a huge mistake.

I trained with the cross country team in the off season. When basketball season rolled around my vertical hadsuccessfully plummeted...."

ForJacob's full story visit the Jump Manual Site Here.

Sprinting, like jumping is much less aerobic event. Do you see sprinters running the 2 mile run to train for sprinting?

NEVER!

Then why do so many vertical jump programs have us PACING ourselves during our vertical jump training regimes?

NEVER NEVER NEVER PACE YOURSELF FOR TRAINING YOUR VERTICALEXPLOSION!

You have seen it before. Athletes running up and downstairs. Athletes dog tired doing speed ladder drills. They are not training at max explosion so they are not training their max explosion.

You get done jumping rope for 20 minutes and your legs aregoing to be so tired.. you are going to say to yourself,"Now that was tough, surely that will increase myvertical." I guarantee you, you will be disappointed.

Unless you train explosion and not endurance. Training your explosion will feel awkward at first.

You won't get the same burn as training your endurance. In some ways training explosion is easier, although it requires much more focus and short term effort and energy.

99% of all athletes reading this right now will benefit incredibly by training decreasing repetition and increasing intensity.

Ways to Jump Higher - Some Rediculously Simple Ways To Jump Higher!

Looking for new ways to jump higher ??

These simple methods may be some you have heard often. Remember they will ONLY work if you actually take the time to practice them!

Increasing your vertical takes strong calf muscles, very strong leg muscles, in fact. Before you do anything , make sure you stretch those muscles good... before and after any jump workouts. It will help heal the stretched muscles more quickly and make them stronger.

Now for some really simple calf workouts that are known to help in jumping higher....

You will start by doing at least 30 calf raises per day. You might want to try and add some weight to this, so wear a book bag with weight in it to get better results.... Adjust the weight as you go along and gradually build up to about 50 pounds or so.

If you are already doing calf raises, just add more weight to the book bag or increase the amount you are doing...

This next exercise may sound quite simple, but it is actually better than calf raises for some people. Walk or run on your tip-toes for about 15 - 20 minutes every day and then do the same backwards for about 3 - 5 minutes.

Walk on your heels but do not let the ball of your heel touch the ground. This exercise actually works the dorsi flexors.

Remember that to increase your vertical jump you need to realize that it will not happen overnight. It's just like training another other muscle, it can take some time and work. But in the end it will be worth it trust me, I mean, you were looking for ways to jump higher, right?

There are quite a number of programs available for coaching on increasing your vertical jump and we have a variety of them listed throughout this site. Most of them have free lessons to help you learn ways to jump higher.

Shooting Drills Basketball Coaching ~ Jump Manual Review

The Jump Manual is a program that promises to add at least 10 inches to your vertical jump in just 12 weeks or they will double the money that they return to you. The Jump Manual, written by “vertical explosion” trainer Jacob Hiller, targets all aspects of your body that are required when you jump, which provides the maximum jumping capacity that you can produce.

As long as Jump Manual is legitimate (and according to a amount of online testimonials it is), there is no question that Jump Manual can seriously increase your vertical explosion capabilities – your jump.

No matter what level you are at as an athlete, if you can get 10 - 20 inches added to your vertical , yu can seriously increase your potential for almost any sport.

PROS:

  • Jump Manual recognizes that many people fail due to a lack of determination, so Hiller attempts to challenge anyone to stick to his program and see if it works, offering to double your money if you truly try his program and it doesn’t work.

  • Jump Manual also provides important nutritional advice and will help you understand the 9 variables (including flexibility, balance, form, and more) and how they affect your explosion potential and your ability to jump.

  • When you purchse the Jump Manual , you have access to the 'Jumpers Forum' where you can share ideas with other athletes as well as one-on-one email coaching and support.

  • While many programs focus on a variety of training activities, Jump Manual focuses only on improving your vertical over a 12-week period of time using all means necessary to increase your vertical anywhere from 10-25 inches.

CONS:

  • The only negative we have come across is that you really have to be determined and motivated in order for this to work. It WILL work but not without effort on your part.

(So it may not really be a con, unless you are looking for something for nothing! Like a miraculous 12" being added to your jump with no effort.... which is not usually the case with most basbetball players, so all in all, it is a very great manual....)
